A simple graph that shows all the data as separate x,y points so that the nature of the spread can easily be seen, for example clumps, or extreme values. For a simple scatter plot, two data fields need to be selected for the x and y axes; however, more fields can be visualised by showing multiple plots with different pairs of fields and by colouring points differently depending on attributes.
